University Name History :

as per the directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. dated on the 25fth of april 2005 the university name "King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences" to be changed to "King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Science"



Welcome to King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, the first university specialized in health sciences in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the whole region. The establishment of KSAU-HS was announced by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz on 16/03/1426 H corresponding to 25/04/2005 G. the Universsity comes under the umbrella of government universities supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education and governed by the regulations and statutes of the Higher Education Council. King Abdul Aziz Medical City has been the nucleus of KSAU-HS that gradually moved from being a health institution offering state-of-the-art medical services to a distinguished and pioneering academic institution entitled King Abdul Aziz Medical City Academy for Health Sciences- National Guard. After being an academy, KSAU-HS encompassed College of Nursing and College of Medicine in Riyadh, established in 1422 H, and 1424 H respectively. Beside these two colleges, the following colleges, deanships, and research centers have recently joined KSAU-HS:
  1. College of Nursing in Jeddah - 1426 H. After turning King Abdul Aziz Medical City Academy into King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in 1426 H, royal decrees have been issued to establish the following colleges and deanships:
  2. College of Public Health and Medical Informatics in Riyadh -1428 H
  3. College of Applied Medical Sciences in Riyadh - 1428 H
  4. Deanship of Students’ Affairs- 1427 H
  5. Deanship of Admission and Registration - 1427 H
  6. Deanship of Libraries Affairs – 1428 H
  7. King Abdullah International Center for Medical Research- 1428 H During 1428 H, royal approvals have been given to establish the following colleges, which are now under construction:
  8. College of Pharmacy in Riyadh
  9. College of Dentistry in Riyadh
  10. College of Medicine in Jeddah
  11. College of Applied Medical Sciences in Jeddah
  12. College of Nursing in Ihsa
  13. College of Applied Medical Sciences in Ihsa
